Observed behaviour
Screenshare breaks in such a way that audio continues to work, but video is just a dimmed still image, likely that of the preview.
If all users are already in the call before starting screenshare, it does seem to work fine however.
From what I can see, it looks like the moment a new user joins a voice call, the "Chromium" device in pipewire is very briefly deleted and recreated, which causes a break in the audio pipeline. This also causes certain apps, such as Freetube, to detect an unplugged device and automatically pause.
Reproduction steps
- Start a screenshare in a VC
- In another browser tab, join the same VC again (probably also works if another user joins as well, but I only tested as myself)
