PTM can't be assigned to certain keys

Reproduction steps

  1. Assign PTM to ² or <
  2. Get in a vc
  3. Try to use PTM

Observed behaviour

PTM doesn't activate no matter how long i hold the key for. There might be more keys it doesn't work with.

Build information

Canary Desktop 2026.528.23728, Web 2026.528.195219, Windows 11 10.0.26200 (x64), Electron 41.2.2, Chrome 146.0.7680.188, Node 24.14.1, Locale en-US

Evidence

In the video i first assign PTM to F to show that it is working and you can see F appear in chat when i hold the key. I then assign PTM to ² and try to use it. You can see i am holding ² as it appears in the chat, but PTM fails to activate.

Expected behaviour PTM should activate upon pressing the assigned key

Can reproduce I can see non-ASCII might trip this up. Worth reporting
