PTT + PTM shortcuts don't work after Wayland Global Shortcut support was removed from Canary

Observed behaviour

Holding the PTT shortcut does not allow you to speak while Push-to-talk is enabled in settings. Holding the PTM shortcut does not mute your mic while held.

Reproduction steps

  1. Set a PTM or PTT shortcut on any key
  2. Join a vc channel
  3. If PTT shortcut, remember to enable Push-to-talk under 'Audio and video' settings and then hold the shortcut key and try to talk, your mic won't activate.
  4. If PTM shortcut, make sure Push-to-talk is disabled and hold the shortcut key, your mic will still be active.
