Some specific message strings cannot be selected correctly with shift + arrow up at specific window sizes (potentially only on windows)

Observed behaviour

only selects the last line (even after repeated pressing of shift + arrow up)

Reproduction steps

  1. this bug could be windows only, so don't deny if on mac or linux
  2. here is the string i used: "Canary 793 (c75ab4a), Host 0.0.234, Windows 11 10.0.26200 (x64), Electron 41.2.2, Chrome 146.0.7680.188, Node 24.14.1, Locale en-US"
  3. paste this string in the message box
  4. to get the correct window size to reproduce this, please see the attachment and resize your window until the line breaks (line breaks = the position where a new line begins) are at the exact same position in your client's message box as in my video
  5. make sure your cursor is at the last possible place ("....en-US" <- here)
  6. press shift + arrow up multiple times
  7. note: i have a key press visualizer in the video so you can see what i did. the video also demonstrates some normal shift + arrow up behavior, so don't get confused by that
