Observed behaviour
It hangs and you have to send a few SIGKILLS to make it close all the way. Running it like this solves the issue:
You need both environment variables. Only one or the other and it still hangs.
This is similar to #2390 but is not GNOME-specific. Tested and reproduced on Fedora and CachyOS.
