Observed behaviour
Jumping to the present removes replying to message but scrolling all the way back up to the exact message you were trying to reply to causes it to show again.
Reproduction steps
- Jump or scroll to a message that is far enough to cause the "jump to present" button to appear
- Hit reply to a message
- Press the jump to present button
