Observed behaviour

  1. Text in About You and Long Form Content are the same. While typing in About You correctly restricts the number of characters that can be entered, it can be overflowed by typing into Long Form Content because of this duplication.
  2. Long Form Content says that the textarea auto-expands, but it does not appear to expand; you just get a scroll bar

Reproduction steps

  1. Open Settings > Design System; scroll down to Textarea
  2. Start typing in About You
  3. When you run out of characters in About You, start typing in Long Form Content

  1. Text in About You and Long Form Content boxes should be independent
  2. Long Form Content says that the textarea auto-expands, so it should expand as you type

Can reproduce CR: canary build 708 (9c245a5), Electron 41.2.2, Windows 11 10.0.26200 (x64), desktop canary 0.0.205, Electron 41.2.2, Chrome 146.0.7680.188, Node 24.14.1, locale en-GB
