Resolved by the LLM usage policy. Fluxer now has a written LLM usage policy for contributors. It replaces the CONTRIBUTING.md wording this thread asked to revise, and it goes further than disclosure. It applies to everyone without write access to the repository and to every kind of submission: issues, discussions, security reports, pull requests, reviews, comments and documentation.
  • An LLM may only be used privately, for learning, investigation, planning and review. Its output must stay private.
  • Contributors must not submit code, text, images, audio or video that an LLM wrote, rewrote, expanded or completed. Disclosing the use does not make it acceptable.
  • Autonomous or semi-autonomous agents must not open or comment on issues, discussions or pull requests.
  • Machine translation is allowed only for text the contributor wrote, with disclosure and the original text included.
  • Contributors must understand and be able to explain every line they submit. Maintainers close submissions that break the policy.
The original post and the comments below discussed the old wording and contain claims about our intentions that are not accurate, so they are hidden and the thread is locked.
