Alt text description character counter does not go up

Observed behaviour

Character counter stays at 0/4096.

Reproduction steps

  1. Attach an image to a message, but do not send it.
  2. Click on the edit attachment button (pencil icon).
  3. Start typing in the Alt Text Description box

Expected behaviour Character counter goes up for every character entered in the box
