X button does not dismiss a failed media upload

Observed behaviour

See attached video. Nothing happens, and when I click the X button, the loading animation lags.

Reproduction steps

  1. Send a message with a media in it
  2. Somehow induce its failing (maybe restrict media in a channel)
  3. Click the X button to cancel it

Build information

Version 2026.09.100, Beta 6, Channel Beta, Build 2561, Android 8.0.0 (arm64), Device Emui 8, Locale en-GB, Push unifiedpush, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

Can't reproduce CNR; Clicking the button to cancel the upload will automatically cancel it. Version 2026.09.100, Beta 7, Channel Beta, Build 568, Android 13 (arm64), Device Xiaomi 21061110AG, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

Can reproduce CR: start a large upload then remove internet to make it fail. reconnect and try to tap the X to dismiss, but it will remain. Jacubb ran into this with a permissions sync issue, but however you get to this point this error should be dismissable. Version 2026.10.100, Beta 2, Channel Beta, Build 2591, Android 16 (arm64), Device Google Pixel 9a, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.6, Dart 3.13.5
