Tapping an existing reaction to add it has a noticeable delay

Observed behaviour

There is a split second but very noticeable delay

Reproduction steps

  1. Find a message where someone has reacted with an emoji
  2. Tap the reaction to also react with that emoji

Build information

Version 2026.09.100, Beta 6, Channel Beta, Build 2562, Android 16 (arm64), Device Google Pixel 9a, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

Expected behaviour React response should be immediate

Can reproduce CR; Version 2026.09.100, Beta 7, Channel Beta, Build 568, Android 13 (arm64), Device Xiaomi 21061110AG, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

Can reproduce CR: Seems to depend on the room, somehow? In typical public rooms where anyone can message, reacting shows the delay, but in announcement rooms(?), the delay is gone. ;; Version 2026.09.100, Beta 7, Channel Beta, Build 81, iOS 27.0.1 (arm64), Device iPhone14,4, Locale en-US, Push apns, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

Can reproduce happens with any reaction for me, and other things like tapping mentions etc - Version 2026.10.100, Beta 2, Channel Beta, Build 84, iOS 26.6 (arm64), Device iPhone13,1, Locale en-GB, Push apns, Flutter 3.47.6, Dart 3.13.5
