Observed behaviour
You get a generic error message with no further information. In the logs, you will occasionally see the following message:
passkey verification failed: the operation couldn't be completed. Application with identifier 3G5837T29K.com.fluxer is not associated with domain [instance domain]
Reproduction steps
- Try to register a PassKey on a self-hosted instance when using iOS or
- Try to log in using a PassKey on a self-hosted instance when using iOS
