Lethargic touch response in IOS app

Observed behaviour

Performance feels sluggish and unresponsive. Workable, but it feels like improvements made for scrolling on other devices impacted performance on IOS.

Reproduction steps

  1. Scrolling through DMs or channels have a slight delay, enough to feel unresponsive.
  2. Typing has a slight delay and feels as though there is an impact on phone performance.

Build information

Version 2026.09.100, Beta 4, Channel Beta, Build 78, iOS 27.0 (arm64), Device iPhone18,1, Locale en-US, Push apns, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

Details

Expected behaviour App should feel snappy and quick, when using other applications, there is a noticeable improvement to touch response across the board.

Can reproduce CR; it feels ‘soft’ compared to even before. Version 2026.09.100, Beta 5, Channel Beta, Build 79, iOS 26.6.1 (arm64), Device iPhone17,4, Locale en-US, Push apns, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

Can reproduce noticeable delay when tapping on interactive items such as reactions, mentions etc - Version 2026.09.100, Beta 7, Channel Beta, Build 81, iOS 26.6 (arm64), Device iPhone13,1, Locale en-GB, Push apns, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4
