Profile pictures fail to load for accounts hosted on different instances in the account switcher

Observed behaviour

When switching between instances, the profile pictures of accounts residing on instances other than the currently active one fail to load, showing a default placeholder icon instead.

Reproduction steps

  1. Log in to multiple accounts across different instances (e.g., mixing official fluxer.com accounts with self-hosted instances).
  2. Open the switch accounts panel.
  3. Switch the active account to an account belonging to a different instance.

Version 2026.09.100, Beta 7, Channel Beta, Build 568, Android 13 (arm64), Device Xiaomi 21061110AG, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

Expected behaviour The account switcher should correctly fetch, resolve, and cache the profile pictures for all logged-in accounts regardless of which instance they are hosted on, ensuring consistent avatar rendering.

Could be specific to that particular instance? Tried two separate instances, could not reproduce | Version 2026.09.100, Beta 7, Channel Beta, Build 568, Android 16 (arm64), Device realme RMX5108, Locale en-IN, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4

inconsistent but i have noticed this on another users test instance - Version 2026.09.100, Beta 7, Channel Beta, Build 81, iOS 26.6 (arm64), Device iPhone13,1, Locale en-GB, Push apns, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4
