Animated stickers freeze and stop playing when replying to them, persisting even after changing channels

Observed behaviour

The animated sticker immediately freezes and stops playing when replying to it. Furthermore, the sticker remains permanently static even after switching channels and returning.

Reproduction steps

  1. Ensure the sticker animation setting is configured to "Always animate" under Settings > Accessibility.
  2. Go to a chat channel and locate an animated sticker.
  3. Attempt to reply to the animated sticker or send a reply referencing it.
  4. Switch to a different channel and return to the original channel to check if the state recovers.

Can reproduce CR: Takes an app restart to restore sticker animation after a reply. Version 2026.09.100, Beta 6, Channel Beta, Build 2562, Android 16 (arm64), Device Google Pixel 9a, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.5, Dart 3.13.4
