Changing input device for audio does nothing

Summary

When i try to change input device, it visually shows that the device was changed, but when i test the mic, it uses default system input device. This works for classic microphones and devices that were not set in system to input sound (like VoiceMeeter). What should actually happen: input device changes, mic test uses correct input device instead of system default

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to Settings menu, Audio and Video section
  2. Press "Start Mic Test" button, note the sound quality
  3. Stop the mic test, change the input device to another device
  4. Press "Start Mic Test" button again, hear the same exact sound quality, even from devices that have their volume set to 0.
