Custom chat background doesn't update until app restart

Observed behaviour

The background image does not change or update anywhere in the app after selecting a new one. It remains stuck on the old image until the app is completely closed and restarted, causing confusion about whether the selection actually went through.

Reproduction steps

  1. Go to Settings > Appearance > Chat background.
  2. Select or change the current custom background image to a different one.
  3. Check the settings preview and return to a chat channel after changing it.

Expected behaviour The newly selected custom background image should update both in the settings preview and inside chat channels without requiring an app restart.

Can reproduce CR: This is specific to switching from one custom image to a new one. Initial image applies immediately. Version 1.0.0, Beta 63, Channel Beta, Build 2436, Android 16 (arm64), Device Google Pixel 9a, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.3, Dart 3.13.3
