JPEG XL (JXL) images do not load

Observed behaviour

where the image is supposed to be remains a blank space with the expiration date below

this may be a specific device problem

Reproduction steps

  1. get sent a jxl

Build information

Version 1.0.0, Beta 58, Channel Beta, Build 2385, Android 16 (arm64), Device samsung SM-S928B, Locale en-GB, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.2, Dart 3.13.2

Expected behaviour the jxl loads and you can click on it. both bizo(Version 1.0.0, Beta 58, Channel Beta, Build 65, iOS 26.6 (arm64), Device iPhone13,1, Locale en-GB, Push apns, Flutter 3.47.2, Dart 3.13.2) and nerdalie(Version 1.0.0, Beta 58, Channel Beta, Build 2385, Android 16 (arm64), Device Google Pixel 9 Pro, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.2, Dart 3.13.2) get the expected behaviour
  1. Rex changed the status from Needs triage to Fixed
