I also tried packaging this appimage for nixpkgs as there's already a pull request for it (the x86 version). nix build succeeded but running the app produced the exact same error

Steps to reproduce

  1. Download NixOS 25.11 on an arm device
  2. Install appimage-run package
  3. Try running the appimage

Environment (optional)

Version: 0.0.8 OS: NixOS 25.11 (Xantusia) aarch64 (using asahi linux 6.18.8 kernel) My NixOS config is available on github (Tomuus/nixfiles branch "flake-parts", might be a outdated by like 2 weeks) configutation name "Makbuk"

Report details

Summary

when I run the appimage for the fluxer arm64 client on void linux for arm64 on my raspberry pi 4b, I get an error of a missing electron dependency, I don't know if this issue is known, but here is the error I got Uncaught Exception: Error: Cannot find module '@electron-webauthn/native-linux-arm64-gnu' Require stack:
  • /tmp/.mount_fluxerVa7ZjE/resources/app.asar/node_modules/@electron-webauthn/native/index.js

        at require (node:internal/modules/helpers:147:16)

It seems this error has been reported before as well for another distro, but it was flagged as a standard appimage issue, the bot said if it still happens to open a new issue, so here we are https://feedback.fluxer.com/p/193 is the issue previously reported I also uploaded the error as a .log, and if you wonder why binaries called fluxer and fluxer-stable exist on arm64, they are the appimage

Steps to reproduce

  1. Download appimage for arm64 onto void linux arm64 on an arm64 system
  2. attempt to run via command line
  3. launch failure due to a broken electron setup for arm64 in the build process

Environment

Version: current build as of July 30th 2026 OS: Void Linux on arm64 Browser: Waterfox (This is not a joke, with the help of a friend, me and said friend compiled Waterfox for arm64) Device: Raspberry Pi 4b

Status changed from Fixed to Confirmed
Reopened because several users confirmed the arm64 builds fail and it was bulk closed without a fix.

Status changed from Confirmed to Fixed
Marked fixed because an admin closed the merged report once the canary build, which runs on arm64, became the default download.

Seems to be one of the standard appimage issues. I'm currently working on packaging the source code from the Linux Download on their primary website, https://fluxer.app/ and have started a discussion to suggest the use of the Releases tab, since Nix and likely many other continuous integration systems rely on the version pinning it provides to ensure the package is the correct version, since it pins at a specific commit. EDIT: Forgot to add this originally, but if you want to see the repo where I'm working you can find it here. Working with my own repo under the same license as Fluxer (Gnu AGPL V3.0) to isolate from the active git tree since there currently isn't any version pinning unless I manually locate the commit of the most recent stable release.

Same issue as above, also using Asahi kernel (6.17.12) although with fedora

RPM package and Tarball also have the same issue with arm64 `A JavaScript error occurred in the main process Uncaught Exception: Error: Cannot find module '@electron-webauthn/native-linux-arm64-gnu `

UPDATE: Fluxer Canary seems to work, it's just the main release appimage that broke
