Friend nicknames only show on the profile, not in DMs

Observed behaviour

The friend nickname displays only on their user profile.

Reproduction steps

Set a friend nickname.
Observe that the friend's displayed name remains unchanged in the DM list, inside the DM, and in the DM member list.

Expected behaviour The nickname should also display in the DM list, inside the DM, and in the DM member list. In the provided screenshots, kaurick should display as KC.
