Custom emojis do not work correctly for free users in servers

(#6) Bug Fixed billing emoji

Observed behaviour

Actual behavior is that all emotes from free users (from what I have seen) defaults to plaintext. Expected behaviour Expected behavior is to be able to see emotes you and other free users have typed, in a server that has emotes.

Reproduction steps

  1. Go to a server as a free user.
  2. Select an emote from that server.
  3. Send message with emote.

Details

Summary

Using the Linux AppImage if that changes this behavior, but I doubt it. Happens both in the Fluxer HQ and a private testing server I built for myself. Using any emote in an uploaded server as a free user will cause Fluxer to recognize it is an emote, but displays it as plaintext (ex. if a Plutonium user writes :bloboutage: in the Fluxer HQ server it works as normal, but if a Free user uses any emote in the Fluxer HQ server, or any emote they've uploaded to their own server, it reverts to plaintext) The pricing page for Plutonium mentions that free users should have access to emotes in the server that they're uploaded in. If this is not the case, please update the Plutonium page so that it does not mention free users being able to have this feature.

Merged from #96 Custom Emoji's Not Working

RexSystemoriginally by @Pinglett on GitHub

Report details

Summary

Hello! I created a server but none of the custom Emoji's are working. It lets me react with the custom emojis but they otherwise do not work. I also subscribed to Plutonium and that made no difference.

Merged from #83 Can't use custom emoji as server owner

RexSystemoriginally by @Juliaxe on GitHub

Report details

Summary

I expected to be able to use my static emoji right away, but it appears I can't. Just converts it to a normal string message rather than the actual emoji.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Be a NORMAL user (no plutonium/visionary/etc)
  2. Add a custom static emoji to your server (not animated)
  3. Try to use it

Merged from #76 Free users cannot use custom emojis in their own community

RexSystemoriginally by @PsychZander on GitHub

Report details

Summary

So I added some emojis to my own Community in Fluxer, and realized that I could not even use them in it. (without paying for Plutonium) nobody else can use my emojis in it either. (but they can react to messages with them)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Be a user without Plutonium
  2. Create a Fluxer community in the Fluxer app
  3. Create an emoji
  4. Watch as you cannot use your own emojis in your server without Plutonium
Report details

Observed behaviour

Non-plutonium users cannot use the custom emojis. If there is no default emoji with the same name (it strips the ~# identifier, for this purpose, ie :cinema~1: is regarded as 🎦), it spits out the plain text of the :message_sent:. Expected behaviour Non-plutonium user should be able to use the server's own custom emojis in that server.

Reproduction steps

  1. Create a server with a custom emoji.
  2. Have a non-plutonium user attempt to use the emoji in the same server.
  3. Emoji fails.

There is no distinction between static and dynamic emoji btw, but this problem extends to all non-plutonium users being unable to use custom emoji locally.

EDIT: This issue seems to be a duplicate of #6 I can confirm that this is an issue, actual steps to reproduce since the issue template wasn't filled in properly:
  1. Navigate to a server that you administrate and upload a custom emoji, it doesn't matter if it's animated or not.
  2. Open the Emoji menu in the textbox and click on the custom emoji.
  3. Observe that the custom emoji appears for a split second, then disappears again.
The screenshot below shows the end result: image (my custom font was added by global CSS options from my browser)
