Observed behaviour

No lines get struck through, and tilde symbols appear in chat.

Can reproduce CR: Version 1.0.0-beta.22, Beta 22, Channel Beta, Build 2076, Android 16 (arm64), Device Google Pixel 9a, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.44.2, Dart 3.12.2

Can reproduce CR: Version 1.0.0-beta.22, Beta 22, Channel Beta, Build 2076, Android 15 (arm64), Device Fairphone FP5, Locale de-CH, Push fcm, Flutter 3.44.2, Dart 3.12.2

Can reproduce Version 1.0.0, Beta 22, Channel Beta, Build 25, iOS 26.5.1 (arm64), Device iPhone18,3, Locale en-GB, Push apns, Flutter 3.44.2, Dart 3.12.2
