Control and Command keys are identical on macOS

(#175) Bug Needs triage accessibility desktop

Summary

On macOS, the ctrl key has a bunch of standard accessibility shortcuts, like ^E (end of line) and ^A (beginning of line). Fluxer seems to be overriding those to do other stuff than what the OS makes standard, for example ^E is bringing up the emoji picker. My keybinds are set to the default where cmd-E should bring up the emoji picker, but the app is treating cmd and ctrl as equivalent, when they aren't.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Type some stuff
  2. Press ^E to go to the end of the line
  3. Be disappointed

Environment (optional)

v0.0.8 on macOS 26.2

Status changed from Fixed to Needs triage
Reopened because it was bulk closed without any fix.

This issue could probably use a better name as the title makes it sound like an accessibility issue with the app under macOS. Something like "Fluxer doesn't differentiate between Ctrl and Cmd under a macOS environment, colliding with system keyboard shortcuts"

I mean, for me it is an accessibility issue, because due to physical disability I rely heavily on the system modifier keys working consistently.

Not denying that, just for the purposes of an issue report it helps to be a little more specific in case somebody rocks up with a similar issue and searches for it before making a report to help prevent future duplicate issues etc.

Yeah, understood, and I've changed the issue title accordingly.
