Channels stop opening after jumping to a search result in another channel

The channel highlights to acknowledge it was selected, but does not open the channel. Switching communities or restarting the app corrects the issue.

Open the search bar from within a channel in a community.
Search for anything and select an option that routes you to a channel other than the one in which you began your search.
Select the back arrow to return to the channel/community list.
Select any channel on the list within the same community.
