[Intermittent] Sometimes youtube embed fails and automatically opens a browser link

Observed behaviour

Sometimes it hangs for a bit as if it is loading, then suddenly opens the youtube link in a browser. This is two unexpected behaviors in one:
  1. The embedded player isn't playing the video back randomly
  2. When it opens to a browser, it doesn't provide the warning that you are opening an external link like it would if you tapped on the link itself.
When the first unexpected behavior occurs, it seems to allow playback in the embedded player if you wait around 20 minutes. I assume it's something on Google's end that is triggering this. I understand if this issue is not possible to resolve, but the second unexpected behavior should be fixed at least.

Reproduction steps

  1. Play a youtube video in the embedded player
