Push notifications received while the app is open are all received once the app is closed regardless if the originating message is read

Observed behaviour

You get push notifications for all pings received while the app is open, regardless if you saw them already

Reproduction steps

  1. Open the app
  2. Get pinged.
  3. View the pings.
  4. Close the app.

Expected behaviour You should only get push notifications for messages you haven’t read
