Text selection in the message box extends to the width of the longest line

Observed behaviour

the selection goes to the length of the furthest right character in the message

Reproduction steps

  1. draft a message with at least one line with a few amount of characters and one with significantly more
  2. select the text of the shorter line so that the furthest-right character is selected
