Server nicknames

(#953) Feature Under consideration community ui

7mo agoby RexSystem edited originally by @omrih4 on GitHub

Problem

Right now servers always appear as their global name

Proposed solution

Adding a local name / nickname system would be useful when there are two servers with the same name, or for giving a preferred name to a server locally

Reopened because only friend nicknames were added and community nicknames were never built.

Local friend nicknames would also be nice, similarly to discord

Rex folded #154 Server nicknames into #953 Server nicknames as the same thread
Reason: This is the same GitHub thread as #953. GitHub converted the issue into a discussion and both copies were imported, so they are shown as one thread.

Rex merged #154 Server nicknames into #953 Server nicknames
Reason: Merged because GitHub converted issue #240 into discussion #345 and both copies were imported.
