Support connecting desktop (and mobile) apps to custom/self-hosted Fluxer instances

(also I'm dumb and didn't read the big edit to readme that was posted 5 days before I created this issue, good chance none of these code lines and maybe even file names will be the same, I'll close for now and re-open if still relevant after the refactor @hampus-fluxer )
