Per-Guild CSS customization/colorization

(#954) Feature Under consideration community theming

Problem

Silly concept I just had on a whim: What if guilds (and/or self-hosted instances?) could send a subset of custom CSS rules to clients for coloring/fonts/etc when viewing that guild? This would give different communities a potential to have a more unique identity and/or branding. Add a modal dialog when connecting to a guild or instance that asks if you want to apply their theming, with a preview of what it looks like. Ideally, maybe prevent complete override of the entire client and important dialogs by whitelisting themeable elements?

Proposed solution

The ability for guilds to offer limited theming to connecting users.

that wud be very cute, and the prompt would make it so it can work with existing client themes id think it would be like the server pinning a theme link, but better integrated into the ux of joining the group

Should be easy by emitting a formatted CSS Class containing the guild ID
