Current problem
I want to experiment with non-linear scrollbars in a 3rd party client, and I want to know the timespan it would represent.
Additionally in the official client it would find it useful to have a way to "jump to start" in channels, this is a prerequisite for that.
Proposed change
Channels should store their creation date and the API should send it as part of
ChannelResponse.Additional information
The date of the first message is a great proxy for the channel creation (arguably even more correct for my use case), the API could provide a O(1) way to retrieve it (AFAICT currently the best way is binary searching with the
before parameter).
