Self Hosted - Permission Added for Community Creation
Problem
First - thank you to the dev/devs that created this app. The world is turning in to a major --- sell your data hell hole. Thank you!
This isn't really a problem as a request:
Request: In self hosted - it would be nice to set who can create Communities within the instance. IE disallow newbies or unknown people from coming in and creating communities of there own. Example, my son has a ton of friends that use Discord, and I want to move him and them over to this. But I don't want them creating 100's of Communities or Servers and filling it with Junk. It would be nice to be able to block them from making there own and only being able to join communities within the Instance.
If this was posted, please forgive me. I did try to search for it, but I didn't see anything even close to this. Thank you!
Proposal
Within the Self Hosted Fluxer Admin page: create a permission page that allows other admins to be created, controlled. Allowing and disallowing Communities to be created by unknown people unless given a permission or added to a group.
I would consider this a step above a Single Community in regards to "allowed permissions". Consider this a Friend zone Instance if that makes sense.
Single Community - Single One Community Server/Instance
None Single Community - This permission creates both worlds:
Friend-Zone Community - Multi Community Server but permissions control who can create Communities and Who Can't. New People can join existing communities, but they cannot create new ones.
