An option to just blur/block ALL media from strangers would be ideal, not just what is detected as sensitive. A detection algorithm could still be useful on top to show a warning that whatever was blurred/blocked is likely sensitive media to help users make their own judgement calls.Removed: ### Notes (optional)Removed: Removed: _No response_Removed: Removed: ### ChecksRemoved: Removed: - ☑ I searched for existing discussions and didn't find a duplicate.Removed:

Option to block/blur all media from strangers

Problem

In Fluxer HQ I asked about not having good tools to block sexual harassment, specifically unsolicited sensitive media, from strangers in DMs, and I was told by Lilith#0000 that you have "client side detection of genitalia imagery to prevent this kind of harassment" on your roadmap. However while better detection is good, no algorithm is ever going to be 100% effective, it's a never ending cat and mouse game between bad actors finding ways around the detection and whatever detection method is deployed to catch it. Not even YouTube has won that battle, there will always be some that slip through the cracks.

Proposed solution

An option to just blur/block ALL media from strangers would be ideal, not just what is detected as sensitive. A detection algorithm could still be useful on top to show a warning that whatever was blurred/blocked is likely sensitive media to help users make their own judgement calls.
