Separate ping notification badge colours for different notification types

Problem

With the current system, the notification badge attached to the community icon or channel is red, regardless of whether the user is being mentioned, or the entire community is being mentioned with an @everyone. This means that notification importance is not highlighted, which results in users unnecessarily checking notifications because of the inability to distinguish importance at a glance, or ignoring direct mentions because of the overwhelming number of @everyone pings.

Proposed solution

It would help to have different badge colours depending on the ping and overlaying the most important one on top. From least to highest importance, colours can be as follows:
  • Blue: @everyone
  • Yellow: @here
  • Red: @user
Feel free to change the colours as need be. It would also be nice if users were able to set custom colours.
