Optional text character counter

Problem

Right now, users can't see how many character they've typed in any channel, therefore if they are typing an essay they can't see how many characters they have left until they have nearly reached the limit.

Proposed solution

Having an optional text character counter with a "tick box" in the settings, gives the user the ability to see how many characters they have currently typed out.
