You can end up creating a whole logic of "who can mention and what can be mentioned" between roles and integrate it to channels in a beautiful way. This way it's just gonna be much more comprehensive!Removed: ### ChecksRemoved: Removed: - ☑ I searched for existing discussions and didn't find a duplicate.Removed:

A channel perm of "Able to be pinged" or "can be mentioned"

Problem

Sometimes we create certain roles that are meant to exist only for certain channels, such as a channel for gamers to look for other players who play a certain game. A role of a name of a game created for such purpose shouldn't be used in #general, but afaik there is currently no way to restrict "to mention" a certain role by channels. People end up mentioning roles in channels that don't match the means of the role to be used in.

Proposed solution

Add text channel perms an option of something like "Able to be pinged" so certain roles can only be pinged in certain channels. This could be a good restriction isn't it?

Notes (optional)

You can end up creating a whole logic of "who can mention and what can be mentioned" between roles and integrate it to channels in a beautiful way. This way it's just gonna be much more comprehensive!
