Merged from #1120 Regional price and Pix

RexSystemoriginally by @SnowGod635 on GitHub

Report details

Problem

The monthly/annual price of Plutonium can be very expensive in countries with lower purchasing power.

Proposed solution

I suggest implementing regional pricing on Fluxer, similar to what we have on Steam. With Plutonium more accessible, people might be more engaged in using Fluxer! For Brazil, I suggest implementing Pix as a payment method, as its popularity is steadily increasing, and with this method available, more people would be willing to pay.

Notes (optional)

I know the Fluxer team is currently small, but if these things are implemented, even in the long term, it will benefit everyone. Regarding other countries, I think it's a good idea to implement payment methods exclusive to those countries, as it would reach even more consumers.

Merged from #1103 Add more payment options

RexSystemoriginally by @peq42 on GitHub

Report details

Problem

I don't have a credit card, and I won't get one. And american payment processors are horrible and love to censor platforms. But I do want to support the platform.

Proposed solution

Add more payment platforms. You can add https://international.pagseguro.com/ for Latin america and Klarna/Unzer/Adyen for Europe

Merged from #1090 Buying Fluxer Plutonium with crypto?

RexSystemoriginally by @remotefunction on GitHub

Report details

Problem

Im living in a country where I can only pay with crypto (Cant pay using card on stripe), etc

Proposed solution

I would like to see official crypto method to buy Fluxer Plutonium

Merged from #1038 Regional Plutonium pricing

RexSystemoriginally by @Squishems on GitHub

Report details

Problem

Right now it appears everyone gets charged the same $4.99/$49.99 price regardless of their region. Not all regions can afford this price, so regional pricing would be ideal.

Proposed solution

The price of the Plutonium subscription to be adjusted based on the user's region.

Notes (optional)

The obvious problem is people abusing their apparent region to get discounted plutonium pricing. This issue can be compounded even further because you can gift subscriptions to others.

This would be awesome to have! We can take a page from how steam handles regional pricing.
  1. Have a optional country field for users which can be changed very infrequently, like 3 months or so. This is completely optional and opt-in for all users. Without this we plutonium will fallback to global pricing.
  2. Only accept regional payments in the country's currency using local payment cards or other local payment instruments.

I strongly support expanding payment options beyond credit cards and US-based processors. In Indonesia, credit card penetration is relatively low, and many users rely on local payment methods such as bank transfers, e-wallets, and QR-based systems. For example, integrating Indonesian payment providers like Midtrans, Xendit, or DOKU would allow users to pay via GoPay, OVO, Dana, ShopeePay, virtual accounts, and QRIS. These are widely used and trusted locally. Additionally, regional pricing would also be important to consider. Pricing that is reasonable in the US or Europe can be relatively expensive for users in Indonesia due to differences in purchasing power

I support this. In countries like Indonesia, $4.99/month can be relatively expensive when adjusted to local purchasing power. Many users are actually willing to pay, but the current pricing makes it hard to justify since Discord Nitro is priced around $4.50-$5 in Indonesia. Regional pricing would make subscriptions more accessible. Abuse is a valid concern, but it can be mitigated (payment method region, local gateways, limiting cross-region gifting).

I think Fluxer need to support regional pricing. Discord already does it and it clearly helps people in lower-income countries afford Nitro. Fluxer has a chance to do this right by pricing based on actual purchasing power and keeping things fair across regions. Nitro Prices by Country

USD (US Dollar)$9.99
EUR (Eurozone)€9.99 (~$11.85)
BRL (Brazilian real)R$24.99 (~$4.80)
PLN (Polish zloty)Zł47.99 (~$13.50)
TRY (Turkish lira)₺104.99 (~$2.41)
AUD (Australian dollar)AU$14.99 (~$10.56)

Credit card penetration is super low in Indonesia (top six countries for Discord downloads). Most of us here rely on e-wallets (GoPay, OVO, and Dana), virtual accounts, or QRIS (national QR code standard). Without these options and some regional pricing that fits our local economy, the community here just won't be able to support the app. Having dedicated SEA payment gateway (especially Indonesia) would be a total game-changer. I did some digging and it looks like Xendit and Midtrans are the most used gateways around here. Edit: Coda could be an alternative payment gateway for most countries including SEA, which could be considered.

Previously mentioned on https://feedback.fluxer.com/p/1188 (added some edits/changes to this post) Privacy-respecting payment method for Fluxer Plutonium aka Anonymized Payment Method (if legally possible) I want to purchase a Plutonium subscription to help support Fluxer financially. However, this is difficult for someone that also prefers to remain anonymous from any legal identification. Right now, users must be logged in to Fluxer, in order to view the Plutonium purchasing option, which is handled by Stripe. But the problem is Stripe links this information to the account email, and also requires a billing address. Someone may choose not to use the linked email with a personally identifiable payment method and/or give up the billing address to a real residential location for a digital goods purchase. One possible option is to allow people to be able to purchase Plutonium gift codes through the main site. Much like directly donating to Fluxer. (Or allow to link a different email to the purchase, unless the "For Me" option is tied to the account strictly, but the Gift option not necessarily) Or a service that allows foreign gift cards like US-only Vanilla VISA cards to go through (unless this is a strict regional restriction that cannot be bypassed). Although fraudulent activity is a valid concern with most gift card methods, thus the requirement of a billing address for such digital goods. But otherwise, it should be somehow legally possible to give support without ties to the email attached to or active Fluxer account at the very least, especially for the Gift Code method, even if one were to gift oneself Plutonium. Should be as if a separate friend had purchased Plutonium and had sent a gift link. Note: This whole concern may be in part to mass-surveillance concerns of 2026. Also during purchase, the email I have used for my account and is linked and cannot be changed. I would otherwise have an email address tied to my personal billing and do not wish to tie that to my account to keep my anonymity and privacy with it. I could also create a business account such as with PayPal, although that may still tie me to my billing address/legal name. It would at least mask my identity somewhat, but kind of defeats the purpose of identifiable connections. It would be my last resort option. That and the only other silly "anonymous" way to pay is to pay a friend, which they would have to reveal their details to Stripe (that is, if they don't mind that issue tied with their account), which then would send the gift code purchased.

crypto as an option would be nice, Monero and BTC at least; mail-in cash would be great too but that involves real world logistics... these are the only real private options, i would at least like to see crypto at some point

I believe Stripe has support for PaysafeCard, which I'd like to see support for as well—due to personal issues which I do not believe are worth going over in public, it is currently my only realistic payment method for many things—including steam games. It is also a pretty common payment method as far as I'm concerned in Europe, particularly in the Netherlands and Germany.
