Problem
Fluxer's developer team is diligently working on V2 and prioritizing functionality above anything else (i.e. channel types, app cosmetics, such as gradient roles, et. al) which I'm in favor for. Function before fashion.
Proposed solution
When V2 is released, and shows stability for users to utilize, I would love to see a new status system, akin to Stoat's.
- Green - Online
- Yellow Moon - Away (or Idle, depending on the platform)
- Cyan Circle with black "play" button in the middle - Focused Mode (@mentions globally, not just in servers, but for DMs as well; i.e. Do not Disturb with extra steps)
- Red with dark grey dash - Do not Disturb (Blocks all messages including pings)
- Dark Grey - Invisible (all messages go through, despite the recipient appears offline)
- Purple with black "play" button in the middle - Streamer Mode (all messages are blocked, like Do not Disturb) when programs, like OBS are launched.
Notes (optional)
Focused mode would be ideal for users whom wish to be somewhat notified, while working on a project or are gaming. When Rich Presence and Game Overlay are introduced, this would be a feature to consider using. As a graphic designer, it's often easier to put myself on Do not Disturb, to not be bombarded with notification flags, while I work on a project.
With Focused Mode, this would only limit the occasional ping to go through.
I'm sure that Fluxer will implement a Streamer Mode, but to have an extra feature that's becoming more and more common in chat platforms, it would be quite nice.
