Multi language spellcheck

(#1104) Feature Shipped desktop i18n

Problem

The current (Flatpak) desktop app for Linux currently only supports 1 language for spellcheck. For multi-lingual people like me, this makes it hard and annoying to type in different languages. For example, when I type in Spanish everything is fine, but when I have to type in English lots of words in my message get underlined red. imagen

Proposed solution

I propose Fluxer add multi-language dictionaries for Linux for spellcheck support in multiple languages at the same time. Apps like Firefox or Logseq in Linux have this feature.

Notes (optional)

I use Arch, btw.
$ uname -srvmo

GNOME Shell 49.5

It's possible to have multi-language spellcheck right now! We just need some UI for it. In the meantime, here is a workaround.
  1. Open the Console -> ctrl+shift+i
Paste this:
electron.spellcheckSetState({enabled: true, languages: ["en-US", "es-MX"]})

This is now fully implemented in the canary client with options for in-app hunspell check or native OS spellcheck! image
