Built in Voice Channel Hub

(#1082) Feature Under consideration channels voice

Problem

Voice channels are limited to the manual setup so if you only make one voice channel only one voice channel can be used by server members.

Proposed solution

VoiceChannelHubFluxerIdea This is where the hub comes in. Either join a temporarily created voice channel in the hub or create a new one if you wish to do smth separate from the ones in existing voice channels.

Notes (optional)

Doesn't need to look exactly like that ui wise, I'm sure there's a nicer way to make it but the idea is the important part.

Seems like a duplicate of #1043

It's not Discord has voice channels yes but not a voice channel hub. The only way on discord to have a 'hub' would be to use a bot to open a temporary voice channel while there is a user joining a voice channel and to move them to the temporary one.

#1043 is just asking for voice channels to have the text channel built into voice channels which you can open as a channel like how discord has it. It's a very different request.

You're right, I misunderstood the request here.

Do you mean temporary "break out" channels? like lets say you have a "hub" for topic A, if someone joins it they get a voice channel for topic A that has all the same visibility and permissions of the hub, people can join and leave the channel like any other channel, and if everyone leaves the channel is removed? If so I would also like that.

Maybe. Never heard anyone call it breakout before though.

I've mostly seen it in corporate groupware, so a large meeting can "break out" into smaller team chats. I like the idea no matter what it's called, I've never been a fan of needing to pre make extra channels just so people can group up for team games. It gets cluttered.
