Observed behaviour

does not send properly, sends text instead

Reproduction steps

  1. open the emoji picker
  2. find 🪅 / copy and paste 🪅 into your text box
  3. send message

When sending the piñata emoji it does not send the emoji, just "🪅".

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the emoji picker
  2. Choose the piñata emoji
  3. Send message
