Desktop apps PTT behaviour should be continuous transmission when pressed instead of voice activated when pressed

Reproduction steps

Use PTT and speak very quietly, it wont pick up voice unless its loud enough for detection.

Expected behaviour

It should transmit as long as the button is pressed, activating PTT should make your icon green like youre speaking immediately.

Actual behaviour

PTT seems to just allow for voice activated mic while its pressed

Build information

Stable Desktop 2026.1018.223338, Web 2026.1018.223338, Windows 11 10.0.26200 (x64), Electron 44.4.1, Chrome 152.0.7977.78, Node 24.21.0, Locale en-GB also happens when using the linux version on my other install

Platform

Windows, Linux

Status changed from Needs triage to Confirmed
CR: Canary Desktop 2026.1101.10907, Web 2026.1101.35229, Linux 7.2.11-200.fc44.x86_64 (x64), Electron 44.10.0, Chrome 152.0.7977.169, Node 24.22.1, Locale en-GB Transmission happens as long as PTT button is pressed, but the speaking indicator (green circle) only appears when voice volume is above a certain threshold.
