Scrolling from old messages to new messages can skip over

Observed behaviour

depending on the scroll it skips hours of messsages

Reproduction steps

  1. Go to a channel with long history (for example HQ fluxer-discussions)
  2. Scroll up (idk how far it has to be to trigger the bug, it should work if scrolled about 24hours)
  3. now scroll down slowly and see how there will be a point where it will scroll down to the newest messages instead of loading the correct one

Reproduction steps

  2. Start scrolling down slowly

Can reproduce I have experienced this many times before. - canary build 558 (3af3543), 2026-05-02 18:32:42 UTC, Electron 41.2.2, Linux 7.0.3-arch1-1 (x64), desktop canary 0.0.113

Can reproduce Issue on both stable and Canary. All platforms. canary build 558 (3af3543), 2026-05-02 18:32:42 UTC, Electron 41.2.2, Linux 7.0.3-1-cachyos-bore-lto (x64), desktop canary 0.0.113

Can reproduce CR canary build 560 (a3d4449), Electron 41.2.2, Windows 11 10.0.26200 (x64), desktop canary 0.0.114, locale en-GB | NB: This is a long-standing issue.

CR. First click will trigger scroll to present immediately. Going back and clicking a second time will only trigger scroll to present after scrolling a bit
