[Visual bug] Slow mode does not appear to trigger when uploading an image

Observed behaviour

The slow mode timer visually does not appear to trigger when you upload an image. It does actually trigger though, if you check other clients. It just is not reflected in the app itself.

Reproduction steps

Go to a channel where you are subject to slow mode and are able to send images. #channel can work for this purpose.
Attach any image
Send it
Look immediately at the slow mode timer
(Optional) Compare to the slow mode timer on the same channel from the desktop/web client
